SURTECO SE: Preliminary result for 2014

Buttenwiesen-Pfaffenhofen, 19 March 2015 - The preliminary result of SURTECO SE - one of the world's leading manufacturers of surface materials based on plastics and specialist papers for technical applications in the international furniture and flooring industry - was impacted in the completed business year by the first-time full consolidation of the Süddekor companies acquired at the close of 2013 and by one-off effects. Sales of the group of companies at 618.3 million euros were increased by 54 % compared with the figure of 402.4 million euros for the previous year.
The preliminary operating result (EBITDA) of the Group increased to 62.8 million euros in 2014 after 59.7 million euros in 2013. In this context, it should be taken into account that in 2013 a one-off, positive contribution to earnings of 13.5 million euros was included in reporting as a result of the Süddekor acquisition. In the year under review 2014, a restructuring provision amounting to 9.4 million euros was recognised. Adjusted by these one-off effects, EBITDA increased by 56 %. The preliminary pre-tax result (EBT) of 22.2 million euros after 28.1 million euros in the previous year was also influenced by these one-off effects.

SURTECO SE will publish the audited complete consolidated financial statements for the business year 2014 on 30 April 2015.
